Hawaii Music Awards Dick Jensen The first is Dick Jensen's performance on the Ed Sullivan show. Dick Jensen is a past recipient of the Hawaii Music Awards "Entertainer of the Year."  This is the man who invented the "moon walk."
Hawaii Music Awards Kainoa Kamaka (Part 1) This video is of Kainoa Ohana, a group from Kauai who won 2nd place in a contest called "15 Minutes to Fame", which was sponsored by the Music Foundation of Hawaii as part of the Hawaii Music Awards. The winners won a round trip tickets to New York City and performed for 15 minutes at Carnegie Hall. This prize is the biggest music prize ever given away in the history of Hawaii.  Kainoa Kamaka, the leader of the band is one of the greatest ukulele performers in the world. Kainoa, from the age of 8, has never lost a dance competition in his life. Check out what he does with the ukulele.
